Fluid on knee. Pain increased from 8 to 9 in recent weeks. Knee pain throbs, compresses and burns. Hurts to cross legs and hurts upon siting. Pain keeps waking me up. Also believe I have priformis syndrome. Working as dispatcher on ten hour shifts. Excrucacting pain when getting in and out of car. Have been on job for nine years.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.
It seems like there is severe case of knee arthrosis and I think that in this stage only knee replacement surgery can be of permanent help. YOu need to do MRi sca first to confirm my words but this pain is not usual for some other knee problems. I dont think this is related to piriformis syndrome You also need to avoid weight lifting oas much as you can to spare your knees. Physical therapy and heating may be beneficial but it wont affect the cause itself. I hope I have answered your query. Wish you good health.
