How Can Fluid Retention In The Legs And Toes Be Treated?
for about a week now I have been retaining fluid in my waist down both legs to my toes. my legs are very tender and causing the muscles to hurt. at night they go down some but not all the way . Over all I m in pretty good health no heart problems or blood pressure problems. I m 51 years old not over weight or any thing like that this just started and I m concerned what can I do?
Treatment always depends on the diagnosis. The possible causes for edema are: 1. Kidney failure 2. Heart failure 3. Hypoproteinemia 4. Liver failure 5. Filariasis 6. Myxedema 7. Drugs like NSAIDs, and Amlodipine et cetera
Please consult your physician, he will diagnose the correct cause for your problem and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
