How Can Frequent Seizures Be Treated?

My nephew is autistic, 15 years old, having seizures quite frequently. He does see a neurologist, who has put my nephew on meds and keeps adjusting these meds because of the frequency of seizures. He has seen this same neur for a year. How long does it take to regulate meds for seizures? These seizures are getting worse, today he had two. The second one was an hour after the first ... real bad one.

Hello,

He is already having some neurological delay and that will cause recurring seizures.

Consult a neurologist and start on antiepileptics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
