Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For about a year & a half I ve had patches of frizzy hair. Except for these patches my hair is very thick and healthy, and have never had issues with my hair. I ve been taking Vit E, Biotin, & a multi vitamin for about a year without making a difference. I also use conditioning treatment about once a week. Not sure why this is happening or how to fix it.
First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.
Based on the history you have shared, since you have tried essential vitamins and minerals required for hair growth but increased demand may need persistent usage along with zinc, vitamin C as well as calcium.
However, next options include protein rich plasma which had shown promising results. Use of conditioner and avoiding too much shampoo or soap is suggested. Dermatologist review can help to rule out any fungal or infective cause.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
