How Can Gastritis Be Treated?

hello, my wife is a 60 yo female with several gastric problems (burning in stomach). Here is what she says: Tonight I have a new symptom - a sharp throbbing pain in my left side - just a little bit below my breast. it is quite a bit to the left side. and feels close underneath the ribs as opposed to near the back. It is tender. I have not had any trauma there, and the pain does not change when I stand sit or lie down and does not change when I take a deep breath. It does hurt enough that I will not be able to sleep. what do you think?

Hi there

I've read you query and understanding your concern for your wife

I would like to advice you to give her some antacids gel to drink after meals that will help in stomach burning sensation. You can also give her some pain killer SOS but not on regular basis.

At age of 60 there can be another underlying health issue with her .And it's advisable for you to get some blood tests and Scans done for her. I'll write tests names here, but personally meet a General physician so that he can write these investigations for you on a prescription.

She needs to check a CBC, Liver Function Test, ultrasound for whole abdomen, ECG and Echocardiography.
