General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The problem of acid reflex is somewhat due to gallstones. So most probably it will be relieved by removal of gallbladder.

If problem persist consult surgeon and get endoscopic examination done to identify any esophageal pathology present.

Till then you can take Omeprazole.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,

Dr. Hiren
