How Can Genital Herpes Be Treated?

I have genital herpies, since age 19. I m 40 now.i haven t had and outbreak in 9 year and I m not sexually active however, I have one now that s huge. It s swelled up to the size of a walnut. And hurts like heck. I take my meds but wondered if I should try to pop it? Or leave it.. please help

Hello,

 Antiviral drugs like valacyclovir will be helpful. It is usually given once daily for long term. Applying antiviral creams like acyclovir also is good.
