How Can Genital Warts Causing HPV Be Treated?

Recently discovered that I might have anal warts, HPV... TERRIFED. not funny, i cant even focus on daily tasks right now, Im freaking out!

1) I do have a appointment for Planned Parenthood this coming Monday, but is there anything I should be trying before then to calm the issue at all?

2) IS the ANY!!!! treatment that completely turns back time and gets rid of this for me...? No matter the cost, which I'm completley broke, or extensive the treatment is, even if it involves surgery... ANYTHING that 100% completley gets rid of this virus for me...?

Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic

Genital warts are commonly caused by hpv types 6, 11, 16, 18. Almost 90 % of genital warts are caused by hpv types 6 and 11 which are benign, however, hpv types 16 and 18 have the potential to cause cervical or anal malignancy but they constitute just 10 % of genital hpv infection.

While there is no cure for hpv, the good news is, the infection often clears on its own. hpv treatment focuses on the symptoms of the infection i.e warts. Warts are visible growths. Various treatment methods like cryotherapy, radiofrequency, CO 2 Laser etc can effectively get rid of the visible ones. Topical imiquimod application and topical podophyllotoxin application is also used for visible genital or anal warts.
I would suggest that you seek an appointment with a dermatologist for a discussion about the most suitable method for your warts

In females with a history of warts, a pap test may be performed to detect infection with high risk hpv types, type 16 and 18. Even if there are no visible warts and if pap test reveals infection with carcinogenic hpv types, thats needs to follow up with 6 monthly or yearly pap tests to detect for any abnormal cell changes

The good news is that although HPV virus itself cannot be treated, but often the body will clear HPV infection on its own.

Regards
