How Can Gout Be Treated?

ive had several gout attacks over 10 years on the same foot . i was treated for one recently. the inflammation has gone but the pain is still there. I saw an internist... she got my uric acid to normal but the pain is still there going on three and a half months. which specialist would i see to escalate this problem?
