How Can Gout On The Hands Be Treated?

Hello, we need information and suggestions without charge: 74yo male who appears to have gout of the hands and arms up to the shoulders, while being hot and cold with sweating a lot with normal body temp. Taking meds for thyroid which was removed about three years ago also taking meds for male cancer-no surgery only radiation treatment which occurred 2008 now in remission. Had hip replacement beginning of year-developed infection, removal of infection and on anti-b,been told will be for maintenances for the rest of his life Please help this has been going on for a number of months

gout is mostly due to increased level of serum uric acid in the blood. it has to be treated with proper medications
