How Can Grass Allergy Be Treated?

Hi, my son is 22 years old, living in Bethlehem, PA playing baseball and is having horrible allergy issues. He is allergic to most grasses and plant life. He is taking daily medications (flonase, an inhaler, and loretadine) but says that he nose will not stop running and he has had three bloody noses this past week already. Is there something else he can take? He has tried Benedryl but that has not helped.

Hello,

To stay away from Grass allergy the best method is to avoid exposure to the grasses. He should not take uncooked food or vegetables, avoid raw tomatoes, peaches or oranges that can cause oral allergy syndrome. Avoid raw salads, go for the cooked ones.

He can take non-sedating antihistamines, one sos when needed. It should work. However, if its not working you can help him visit an Immunotherapist, get him examined if required he can get Immunotherapy done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
