Gynecomastia or enlargement of the breast could be a pathological or physiological condition in males and is due to the excess growth of breast tissue, [and not excess fat tissue] and more importantly by an imbalance of the hormones estrogen and testosterone so a
general surgeon can be in a position on clinical examination to tell you whether this is just a collection of tissue or a real condition of gynecomastia which needs removal by surgery.
2. More than half of boys develop gynecomastia during puberty. The tissue mainly comprises of
adipose tissue, and if one will lose weight and body fat; gynecomastia will automatically come under control. [get an
