How Can Hair Loss After Suffering From Jaundice Be Treated?
Hello I am 21 years old. I had contracted jaundice in February 2015 . I had taken the required precautions and after recovering i started experiencing hairfall. This is constant since my recovery. Moreover , any rich diet is difficult for me to digest. I have itchy scalp , dandruff and am experiencing hairfall . My doctor had advised me to use a 2% ketaconazole shampoo but i can t find any drastic change . I would please like to know how to stop hair loss , enable hair growth and improve my liver functioning. Thank You
For the problem of your hair fall, kindly do the following:
1. Use shampoo containing Ketoconazole with coal tar or salicylic acid regularly.
2. Take medications containing Biotin, Vitamin E, Zinc and Selenium regularly.
3. Check your blood for hemoglobin content. If you are found to be anaemic, you would also need iron supplementation.
Gradually, you should be able to overcome the problem.
Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
