Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yes. I was in the hospital for 32 days with pneumonia and sepsis. I had surgery on my right lung to remove infected fluid. I have been home for 1-1/2 months now and returned to work part time. I will be starting back full time tomorrow. Within the last two weeks, I have been losing a substantial amount of hair. I can see it in the hair catcher in the shower and it s at least 4X the normal amount. When I comb out my wet hair, I get even more loss. Can you help me?
please be assured your heair loss has no link to surgery. the only link can be any medications you are on which are causing hair loss as a side effect. i would like to know your medications in detail. also i would like you to visit a dermatologist. for now please shampoo your hair properly. also use a ketoconazole shampoo. it will help.
