How Can Hair Loss Be Treated?

I’ve been experiencing excessive hair shedding for some months now. I had two thyroid tests done recently by two different doctors. One test was done by my OB/GYN on 10/16 and my TSH was 4.05. He wanted to put me on Synthroid 25mcg, then test me again in 6-8 weeks. The other thyroid test was done by my PCP (Internist) on 10/17. My TSH was 5.020 and my T4 Free was 1.1. I told my PCP that my OB/GYN wanted to put me on Synthroid and my PCP was very adamant that my thyroid was normal, and I don’t need to take Synthroid. He said once you’re on Synthroid, you’re on it for life. I feel very confused about what to do...

Hi! I can understand your confusion .
once your Tsh level increase even though you have been taking synthroid then by default you have to continue it.
If your gynaec.doc.have suggested med.course for thyroid and related problems you have to first complete it. only then we could get proper results.
Get investigated every 6 months for thyroid.
Hope you are satisfied with the answer.
