How Can Hair Loss Caused By Metoprolol Be Treated?
I am taking metoprolol for blood pressure and I have lost almost all of my hair is there anything you can do to help me. This is making me feel very bad about my looks. I don t know what to do. I have to take my blood pressure meds every night. Is this something I just have to live with and just go buy a wig? I sure hate to ask such a stupid question but I need some help please tell me what to do.
I think you should check your thyroid hormone levels because Hypothyroidism may cause hair to fall. Metoprolol is not known to cause it. You may take B complex vitamins to help hair growth.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
