Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. My nephew was diagnosed with Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease on Tuesday. Poor oral intake for 2 days. Better today with total of 11 0z in thus far. Has had no urine output for 22 hours. He looks good and is happy and playful. No longer irritable like had been. Also has had 2 large diarrhea stools today. Wondering if an ER visit is necessary yet? Or can we continue to attempt to push fluids on him and have a wait and see???
The Hand-foot-and-mouth disease is a viral diseases, which is common in children. I will suggest to just continue with fluids and healthy diet and everything will pass away in few days so nothing to worry about.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
