I can understand your concern. Headache at injury site is normal. It will resolve by
: Applying icepacks at swelling site or injury site. Avoid at open wound.
: Keeping head at higher level than chest
: Taking painkiller like
Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription
: Avoiding pressure at injury site while lying down.
Also observe for alarming signs of
head injury like
: vomiting
: seizures
: no relief in headache even after taking medication
: bleed through nose/ear/throat
: onset of new focal deficit
:
loss of consciousness /decreasing consciousness
If any of above signs appear, contact ER as soon as possible. He might be advised
CT scan of head to rule out skull
bone fracture or bleed.
