How Can Headache Caused After Exposure To Plastic Fumes Be Treated?
I trying to clean my oven of some previous melted plastic. But the smell is still there. No smoke ot anything just that bad smell. Any way i opened my windows and the oven bent. Let the oven stay on at 380° for about 30-40 min. I stayed in the basement. However i begsn to dmell it down thjere as well. I then turned it off Seversl hrs later. All around headache. . asu.ing it could be from that.how to treat it?
Hi, this is Dr Tshering. Your headache could be caused due to inhaled fumes if it developed soon after your exposure. Usually mild inhalation does not cause serious toxicity and will settle after a few hours, provided you do not have other co-morbidities like hypertension, migraine, etc, which could explain the headache. If a person presented to me with this history and mild-moderate headache, I would prescribe them a painkiller like acetaminophen or ibuprofen for quick relief. But if your headache lasts more than a day or seems to get worse or you develop other symptoms, I would recommend you to consult a general physician. Regards.
