How Can Headaches And Migraines Be Treated?

Good evening Dr. Rynne, I have suffered with severe migraine headaches all my life, the headaches get so bad that I can t stand noise or light, I ve seen numerous Dr s about my headaches and there are a number of medications that I am allergic to. I ve been seen in the ED about my headaches and been given cocktails of different medications to try and stop the headaches, I guess my question is, do you think Propofol would be something that I should look into for my headaches ? At times the pain is so unbearable that I want to die, anything just for the pain to stop.. I get pain medication from people I know trying to stop the the pain in my head, what do you suggest or recommend ? AT WITS END!!!

Hello,

The symptoms are consistent with common causes like migraine or tension headache, as a first line management you can try analgesics like aceclofenac or tramadol for pain relief.

If symptoms persists better to consult a neurologist and get evaluated.
