How Can Heavy Menstrual Bleeding Be Treated?

Having heavy bleeding, periods are always heavy, but like clockwork. Not due til Jan 12. On Wed, had small gush, then second one, then nothing the rest of the night. Nothing all day Thurs til 6 pm. Started gushing big time with clots, haven t stopped. Went through 50 super plus tampons, plus pads in 24 hours. Still not slowing, starting to get concerned. Should I go see dr?

Hi
Thanks for contacting HCM for your heath issues.

Yes, definitely you should consult gynecologist to check the reason of such continuous heavy bleeding.
May I know any medicines (like aspirin or other blood thinning medicines) you have taken recently? These type of medicines can also lead to uncontrolled bleeding.

Right now you should consult gynec doctor as early as possible.

Regards
Dr. Hiren
