Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a fall and developed a rather large hematoma about the size of two lemons i went to the ER and I went to an Orthopedic surgeon and everything is fine, with physical therapy the hematoma has reduced significantly however, ever since the injury that area of my knee has been moist to the touch i was just wondering if this is normal or if I should go back to my doctor.
moisture around the area is not a complication heat around the area or sudden dullness around the area following reduction of hematoma pain or fever after the recovery can be a sign of infection so if you are not experiencing any of the above signs its ok if you have any of these signs please visit a doctor for further evaluation and management
