How Can Hemoglobin E-beta Thalassemia Diagnosed In A Child Followed By The Parents Be Treated And Cured?
i have a four years old son.Recently when he complained of stomach pain we took him to a paedtrician, and he was detected with Hb E beta thallassemia with Hb level below 7 and got his first blood tranfusion.Before that he never complaind of health issues, he has grown up healthier since born.Later my wife got detected with Hb disase and i am diagnosed with BEta Thallassemia trait.what is the severy in this condition, as my child has E beeta thallassemia
β-thalassemia trait is characterized by mild anemia. Since there was requirement of blood transfusion once in your child thus there is nothing to worry. However, monitoring of hemoglobin at regular intervals is recommended.
