Sir I am suffering with hepatitis e since a month but now as per latest report my SGOT and SGPT level is normal but my bilirubin is 1.5 in which direct bilirubin is 1.1 and Globulin is 3.8 more than required of 3.5 but my A:G ratio is 1.22:1.Kindly advice
For most patients, the treatment of acute HEV infection is supportive, as the disease appears to be mild and self-limited in nonimmunocompromised patients.
Patients with acute HEV infection who develop fulminant hepatic failure require liver transplantation, this is not your case since your liver function is preserved. To note that fulminant hepatic failure is a rare condition.
The role of antiviral therapy in patients with acute HEV has not been established.
So basically there is nothing much to do, just try to eat healthy, avoid the use of medications that are hepatotoxic, keep yourself hydrated, monitor your liver function tests, take the hepatitis A and B vaccines if you are not immune to these viruses.
Best regards
