How Can Hernia Be Treated?

Hi I have a number of surgeries on my stomach I have a large hernia The doctor say that I am a high risk due to the surgeries so my question is I had this for about two years and I would like to know if I don t get it out will it make me sicker than what I am now

Hello and greetings

Hernia happens because of weak fibromuscular wall or defect which can be due to multiple pregnancies or abdominal surgeries. It is aggravated by coughing, lifting heavy objects, constipation, strenuous work or any chronic illness.

Surgery is the best option to treat hernia and you should get it treated because it can cause serious complications if left untreated. .

Avoid constipation, or any other risk factors mentioned above.
