General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Can you please tell me what your blood pressure was when the doctor put you on medication? For confirming the diagnosis of high blood pressure, you have to take at least three readings after a minimum of ten minutes of rest. Besides after starting medication follow up the check after 10-15 days.

In your case according to my suggestion, HTCZ should be stopped, and regular blood pressure is measured weekly for one month. As HTCZ can cause some fluid loss and that is why your blood pressure is coming down below normal range. Sometimes higher stress levels can increase blood pressure temporarily, so in such case no need to start medication. Just confirm high blood pressure by regular check-ups and if it is not there stop the medication.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regard,
Dr. Hiren Hirpara
