How Can High TSH Levels Be Treated?

Hi Doctor, This is regarding the thyroid problem that i am facing for last 7-8 years, TSH level is always high, i have been taking THYRONORM 100 on regular basis. According to the recent test that i had the TSH level is: TSH- 15.070ulU/ml Please guide me next what should be done

Hi,

Welcome to HCM. Thanks for asking question

You are having hypothyroidism. The treatment is with Thyroxine ( Thyronorm). Once on treatment the TSH should be between 0.5 and 4. Since your TSH is high, you have to increase the dose of thyronorm.

If I were your treating physician, what I would make sure is weather you are taking the medicine properly. If you are, I would increase the thyronorm dose to 125 MCG per day.
