How Can High Blood Pressure During Pregnancy Be Treated?
Hi am 21 weeks pregnant and have developed high Bp recently was on 600 mg of labebet daily but it didn t control my Bp so tomorrow onwards I am advised to have alpha dopa 500 thrice a day and labebet 100 twice a day just wanted to check how safe is it

I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.
As per my opinion avoid use of Labebet (Labetalol) during pregnancy. Hydralazine and methyldopa are safer drugs to be used in pregnancy. So, if Methyldopa alone is not controlling BP then start Hydralazine 24 hourly along with it. Check blood pressure every 3-4 days until it comes to normal range.
