How Can High Blood Pressure Levels Be Treated?

I have high blood pressure Upto. 190/85. . I have. 50 mg of metro prolog. It does not seem to work. My friend suggested. Atenolol. But I do not have it until I obtain. Prescription. What can I do now to bring down. BP. Pl call me on YYYY or YYYY E Mai. YYYY@YYYY .

Though you did not mention your age, however Beta-blockers (atenolol, metoprolol) are not first line drugs for treating high B.P unless a specific indication necessitates their use. In my opinion if you are aged less than 55 years, Valsartan 80mg once a day in morning will be all that is required. Give a time of atleast 1 week for the drug to attain its full effectiveness.
