How Can High Fever Be Treated?
My husband is 65 years old and running a fever of 101 - 102.2 for the last 3 hours. I have a cool compress on his head and gave him 2 Bayer aspirins at 10:00 pm Eastern time. I also just gave him some orange juice. He is on high Blood Pressure medication. He is alert and watching TV. Will rubbing alcohol assist with taking down his fever? When should I call his doctor or take him to an emergency room re this high fever?

It is due to an infection that he is suffering from fever.
It is better to give him antibiotic coverage like Amoxycillin with Paracetamol. He will relieve. But if the fever continues after taking medicines then take him to the emergency room for further evaluation.
