How Can High Fever Followed By Diarrhea And Vomiting Be Treated?

Seen at ER 3 days ago for severe muscle spasms and a 102 fever. Given Tylenol for fever and Flexerial for cramps. That night after coming home developed severe chills, watery diarrhea stomach cramps. For the last 2 days unable to eat or drink anything with out throwing it up or watery diarrhea.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.

Your symptoms are suggestive of infective diarrhea (most probably amoebic). Get stool examination done for causative organisms.
Start ORS (WHO approves) - dissolve 1 sachet in 1 liter of drinking water and drink as much as you can. Continue Tylenol if fever is there. Start Tablet Ornidazole 12 hourly for 5 days (watch for any allergic reactions - if there, stop medication).
If stool examination shows bacterial / mixed infection also start tablet Ofloxacin 12 hourly for 5 days. As these are prescription drugs you have to get it prescribed from nearby physician.
