How Can High Fever In A Toddler Be Treated?

Hi Dr. My Nephew is two and half year old. He is suffering from fever. I have given him ibugesic plus syrup at 6:00 PM (Temp. 101.6 F) today. At 11:00 PM again fever is 103 F & i have given him Moftel P syrup. Can i give him Ibugesic again (12:50 AM) as fever is stil 102 F?

Hi, thanks for reaching out. I can understand your concern for your nephew's condition.
Both Ibugesic plus and Meftal P are good medication for fever but keep a gap of minimum 6 hrs between the Medications. Do tepid sponging to reduce the temperature. Does he have any other symptoms like cold, cough, vomiting, stomac upset?
If temperature is not reducing, it is better to rule out the exact cause and give treatment. Kindly see a Paediatrician or Physician if fever doesn't come down after giving Meftal-P.
