Hi

Greetings from HealthcareMagic!

I can understand the future perspectives of your daughter for which you are worrying. Hyperpigmentation is excess production of melanin. There are different causes out of which more common are inflammation by exposure to sunlight, allergic reactions, hormonal changes. Hyperpigmentation occurs in people with dark skin. As your daughter is at 13, most probable reason seem to be hormonal changes which leads to over production of melanin. Coming to general treatment
1. Application of saffron and lemon helps to some extent.
2. Avoid exposure to sunlight and pollution.
3. Melalite cream can be used as prescribed by your doctor.

Coming to your view of treatment i.e chemical peeling.Chemical peeling will definitely remove the superficial layer of hyperpigmented skin and improves the colour. But the exact benefits vary depending up on the extent of hyperpigmentation. Darker skin people can experience a temporary or permanent change of skin pigmentation. There may be some side effects like infection and scarring also.
This treatment can be preferred at early age rather old age. So your daughter can be taken for treatment by keeping in mind the complications. Hope you can take care after seeing all these aspects of the hyper-pigmentation.

Take Care
