How Can Hyper Pigmentation On The Cheeks Be Treated?
Hi. Recently i used an ointment (mopiko) containing salicylic acid on a small patch of my cheek. I rubbed it and caused an abrasion. The skin came off and redness occurred. I have been washing with soap and water. I noticed today that scab has become more brown with black spots on it. What are the black spots? Permanent pigmentation? How to treatment? Thanks for your help.
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.
One of the best way to get rid of skin hyperpigmentation is Topical Treatment with dark spot remover creams and gels. Those creams should contains ingredients like Kojic acid, Azelaic acid and arbutin. try to avoid sunlight or artificial UV exposure such as tanning beds. Refrain from using hair removers or waxes and skin products containing spices, alcohol, astringents, or lime. If there is no improvement then see a dermatologist for treatment. He ll know if it is melasma or merely the hyperpigmentation seen following acne scarring.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
Wishing you good health.
