How Can Hyperpigmentation Above The Lips Be Treated Effectively?
Hi I have hyper pigmentation above my lip and it has the appearance of a mustache.. I hate it,I have been using fade creams with hydroqcinone and it seems to darken area after usages. What can I use that will effectively remove dark spots and will not darken but remove effectively for good..thank you.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of hyper-pigmentation above the lips which seems to be due to caused by excessive exposure to the UV rays. It seems to be due to post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to
- Use petroleum jelly and drink lots of water.
- Avoid to stay in dry environment for longer period.
- Avoid using creams containing high steroid content.
- Avoid licking your lips.
- Use lip balm which can be directly applied rather than if you use finger.
If symptoms keeps on persisting, visit dermatologist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr.Harry Maheshwari
