How Can Hyperpigmentation Around The Ankle Be Treated?

I had surgery on foot/ankle some 40 years ago. The complications with circulation resulted in a few surgeries and a skin graft on the front and side of the ankle. The resulting trauma cuased the area to darken considerably. I am curious to know if there is a way to lighten that darkness in that area? Not interested in surgery but perhaps a cream or something.

dear
I understand your concern regarding the hyper pigmentation.
The concentration of melanin pigment in skin can be due to various reasons but mostly it is a protective phenomena.
Had I been your treating doctor ,i would have advised cream EVEGLOW to be applied over the area, with a moisturiser along with antioxidant vit E ,capsules like Evion400.
More over please also concentrate on a healthy nutritious diet with plenty of fluids, fresh fruits and vegetables.
Hope this helps
welcome for further queries.
