How Can Hyperpigmentation Due To Threading Be Treated?
Hi, in the recent answers given by the doctors here for skin darkening because of regular threading are to use different types of acids.. is it safe to use acids without actually showing your skin to doctor? If it is, wont these acids be too strong to have side effects or burn the skin? Are they easily Available in market? Do they peal the skin to get a fresh new one?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of hyperpigmentation due to threading which occur because skin has increased sensitivity of getting pigmented and clogging of dead skin.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you not to use acids without any proper prescription as they can cause skin burns as well. You should wash area with cold water and face wash containing salicylic acid twice a day. Apply clindamycin gel at night time. You should drink plenty of fluids and avoid oily, sharp and greasy food. If condition doesn't get well in a week then consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like minocycline, steroid ointment and may recommend chemical peeling for marks.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
