hello there, My son is only 12 yrs old his weight is 168 lbs. I noticed since last his face, neck, armfit became darker. Our family doctor checked his blood sugar the result was normal. The family doctor suggested to him to lose weight. Is there any remedy that you know about this situation. Thank you.

Hello,

Hyperpigmentation on the face may be due to photosensitivity or alcohol liver disease or photosensitivity or allergy or niacin or b12 deficiency or metabolic syndrome etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Weight reduction and regular exercise may be useful.

Use sun screen while going out. check for Thyroid profile and serum b12 and folic acid levels.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
