Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Hyperpigmentation is the darkening of an area of skin or nails caused by increased melanin. It can be caused by sun damage, inflammation or other skin injuries. Topical skin lightening products containing skin lightening ingredients namely hydroquinone, retinoids, kojic acid and Vitamin C are often used to reduce hyperpigmentation. Use of sunscreen cream/lotion may also help to prevent these dark spots. Treatment of such conditions might take little longer than usual to appreciate the results. Kindly continue with the treatment as suggested by your doctor and do the necessary follow-up. Hope the information provided would be helpful. Wish you good health.
