How Can Hypertension Be Treated?

How can I reduce my blood pressure without taking meds? My BP today was 137/67, pulse 62 at 9:30 a.m. STD. Also took same med yesterday at same time and BP was 131/63, pulse 80. Because of headaches and nausea on Tuesday, Nov. 14th I started taking 1 tab of Amolodpine Besylate 2.5 MG once a day. I have heard this drug has bad side effects.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
welcome to hcm ..please see that amlodipine is one of the safest drug for physically sexually and intellectually active patient ..has minimal effects on lipid profile..
if bp is above 140/90 the drug has to be taken ..as the risk in not taking drug is much more than side effects
nonpharmacological ways to reduce bp are as under ..
1.avoid smoking and alcohal
2.avoid fast fried salty foods
3 .meditatation
4 ..morning or evening walk
5 .adequate sleep
but please note that that for higher LEVEL of bp drug are given
and un majority patients drugs are only option aa above mentioned methods fail to bring bp below 140/90 even 3 months of above methods
