Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My blood pressure is currently high. I take LIsinopril 20 mg per day. Took it 1.5 hours ago along with my daily 81 mg. aspirin. My pressure keeps going up. It is currently 174 over 111. I was wondering if I can take a second Lisinopril now and if that would help.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Varinder's Response
Welcome to Healthcare Magic ..
Please see tab Lisinopril 20 mg one tab is enough .
Now do not repeat it . Just keep it repeating every 24 hours. I mean tab Lisinopril 20 mg once a day .
If BP does not fall below 140/90 then add tab Amlodipine 5 mg after one week
If it is still above 140/90 at end of second week add tab Chlorthalidone 12.5 mg once a day
Avoid physical and mental stress for next 1 week .
morning or evening walk at slow pace
Avoid smoking or drinking Alcohal or eating salty foods
Get yourself an ECG done. Also get a chest Xray, urine and sugar level test done
If you have any further query then you can come back to Healthcare Magic I will definitely help you and guide you appropriately
With Regards,
Dr Varinder Joshi
