How Can Hypertension Be Treated?

Hello, My question is regarding any possible links between being a carrier of the the sickle cell anemia trait and hypertension. I am a relatively healthy female who has never experienced any other complication before and does not have any other health issuses i.e obesity, etc which would put me at risk for hypertention. If there is a link what should the course of treatment be ?

My knowledge doesn't find any direct association between sickle cell anaemia trait and hypertension.
Despite it is always my advice to have a healthy lifestyle, with exercise and controlled balanced diet, to avoid such diseases.
