How Can Hypertension During Pregnancy Be Treated?

Hi Doctor, I am 20 weeks pregnant, and I am hypertensive. All the reports in anamoly scan were normal. My BP range is usually 150/100. (during pregnancy). I am taking Alphadopa 500 mg 4 times a day and Lobet 100 mg 2 times a day. But still no change in BP. Please advise.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The methyldopa is at the optimum dose and cannot be increased but your doctor may consider altering the lobet, it is currently not at the maximum dose.

In addition, you may need to be referred to a hypertension specialist for assessment and management.

I hope this helps
