How Can I Lose Weight By Exercise And Diet Control?

For a man of 250lb at 54 years. Nutrition as a daily guide should be 60grams sugar, 2000mg sodium, 1900 calories, and minimize low fat, reduce cholesterol as much as possible along with saturated/trans fats. My Q is that a great start and can I lose weight if I stay under that with exercise?

Hello and welcome

Thanks for posting your query

medicines are there but I would suggest you to focus on diet and exercise

i would like further informations to guide you better like
#your age
#complete medical history since how long you have been diagnosed as hypothyroid disease
# are you on medicine if yes then since when ?
#Your height and weight because medicines can be prescribed when your BMI increases by more than 30
In my opinion you should follow these guidelines

strict dietary restrictions and make a chart of what you are eating and follow it very religiously.
30 to 45 minutes daily exercises, slowly start with brisk walking or jogging and gradually you can build your stamina. You should also include muscle building exercises for additional benefits.
Have plenty of fruits vegetables and dietary fibers
Take plenty of fluids 3 to 4 liters a day.

Medicines are not recommended in your case. But if you wish to try them under strict medical supervision, you can discuss about appetite suppressant drugs like phentermine or sibutramine and lipase inhibitors like orlistat with your local doctor. These are not available over the counter

I hope you will find my response informative and helpful
Best wishes
