How Can I Reduce My Cholesterol Level?

Dear Doctor,



My name is Divakar, age is 42 year my cholestrol is High, S total Cholestrol 277, s.triglyceriedes 255, S.LDL 185.

I am taking Mactor - F. and daily 40 minutes take walk. Please suggest me what else i can do to reduce cholestrol.

You can easily reduce your cholesterol by adopting following guidelines:
1. Eat meat sparingly
2.cut down on saturated fat in cooking
3.Limit lean meat, fish, and poultry to no more than 6 ounces per day (a 3-ounce portion is about the size of a deck of playing cards).
4.Avoid organ meat.
5.Increase complex carbohydrates and fiber in your diet
6.Eat Fruits and vegetables
7.Avoid trans fats
8.Go for nuts(handful of almonds/peanuts/walnuts twice a week help for increasing good cholesterol HDL)
9.Add fish to your diet
10. Limit salt intake
