Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello doctor, i want to ask for my father injury tibia and fibula 7 months ago he had an accident in which his tibia and fibula was broken 90% ha had operation the doctor inserted plate inside for bone support now months passed his bone is repaired but pus is coming from the affected area. Suggest some good medicine h is age is 45.
As per your history, pus is oozing out from that site, so its infected wound. I would suggest you do complete haemogram, pus culture and sensitivity, MRI of that site to know the severity of the infection.
You can start antibiotics like cefuroxime immediately after consultation. Do regular dressing on alternate day. Antibiotic course may change after getting culture report. You can take tab. paracetamol for pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
