How Can Infertility Be Treated While Suffering From Rheumatoid Arthritis?
Hi.. I am 27 yr old and i am having a rheumatoid arthritis since 6 yr and thyroid since one year.i am trying to consieve but no luck. Last month my doctor told me to do tpo antibody test and results are as follow. THYROID STIMULATING HORMONE (TSH) C.L.I.A 1.01 μIU/ml 0.3-5.5 FREE THYROXINE (FT4) C.L.I.A 1.29 ng/dl 0.7-1.8 ANTI MICROSOMAL ANTIBODY (AMA) C.L.I.A 600 IU/mL Reference Range : Negative : 34 (AMA are also called as Anti-TPO Antibodies). My Tpo antibodies is too high..I need some suggestion what to do next and is it dangerous.?
The high anti-TPO antibodies mean that there is an autoimmune mechanism causing the disease and most probably Hashimoto's disease is the cause. Your thyroid is now stabilized since you have normal TSH and T4 and this may be from treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
