General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

PCOD is a complex disease and the treatment response varies. You should take proper treatment under the supervision of the gynecologist.

Following drugs will useful for fertility:

- Tablet metformin and tablet duphaston in second half of period.

- Clomiphene citate and FSH shot will help to improve fertility.

If medicine fails, then go for ovarian drilling procedure. If still it does not respond, then last option is In Vitro Fertilization. Avoid stress, do regular exercise and reduce 10 to 12 % body weight. Take small frequent meal rather than large meal.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sagar
