I have been bitten twice once on my heel the other on my little toe. Number one I know it is not a fire ant I have been stung before and I know it is not a brown recluse because the same. I have very large hard blisters and are very red and hurt and itch very badly. The spots started as small red spot with a white head and in within a day grew to the large hard blisters. I was in bed over 24 hrs. due to fever and then sweating. The sweating was not like a fever sweat from being sick. I profusely sweat from my palms and the bottom of my feet. The next day was not as bad but I ran a low grade fever all day. I called and got a dr. appointment today. I was told that it was for sure some insect bit. I was treated with an injection of methylprednisolone acetate 20 mg. and dexamethasone sodium phosphate 1 mg x 2. I was also called in cream to use. I am wanting to know what these drugs are in laymen s terms. I feel 100 percent better. But, I would also like an opinion on what these bites could possibly be. Thank you, Jennifer
