My 7 year old daughter had her x-ray five months ago and diagnosed of interstitial pneumonia with ptb cannot be ruled out. Her pediatrician started ptb treatment. She is on her fifth month now. A month ago, she was in hospitalized due to pneumonia. Today, she had an x ray as requested by her pediatrician. The result says hilar pneumonitis. It seems she is not being cured of her pneumonia. How can she be cured of this disease. Is it thru antibiotics more?
itcan be associated with pulmonary tuberculosis. so anti tb drug and broad spectrum antibiotic be started immediately. proper antitubercular treatment is requered. there is no evidence of afb. it is only antigen antibody reaction. mantoux test can give some indication.
